Dr. Layn grew up in Tatum, Texas, and her journey into chiropractic care began with a life-changing experience during high school. After a motor vehicle accident left Dr. Layn with a hip injury, she sought treatment from a local chiropractor. The relief she experienced from that care sparked a strong interest in chiropractic, which has shaped her life ever since. Dr. Layn later graduated with honors from Texas Chiropractic College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. During her studies, she developed a special interest in treating pregnant women, children, and families using specialized chiropractic techniques. Dr. Layn has completed further education to obtain certification in Webster Technique, Basic Activator Protocol and Acupuncture.

Perinatal & Postpartum

  • Chiropractic and acupuncture are safe and effective for pregnant women when provided by licensed professionals experienced in prenatal care. Chiropractic care helps alleviate back pain, pelvic discomfort, and posture issues, while promoting pelvic alignment for optimal baby positioning. Acupuncture addresses nausea, stress, and other pregnancy symptoms, supporting overall well-being. Both therapies offer natural, drug-free solutions to enhance comfort and health during pregnancy.

  • When your chiropractor says they are Webster certified, it means they have specialized training in the Webster Technique, a chiropractic approach focused on pelvic alignment during pregnancy. This technique helps alleviate discomfort, improve posture, and optimize pelvic function. Research has proven that mothers who receive care with the Webster Technique often experience faster and easier births, as it supports proper pelvic alignment and reduces tension on the uterus and ligaments.

Family Wellness

  • Chiropractic care is important because it focuses on the health of the spine and nervous system, which are essential for overall well-being. By addressing misalignments or subluxations in the spine, chiropractic care helps improve the body's function, reduce pain, and promote healing without relying on drugs or surgery. It can treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort, while also supporting posture, flexibility, and mobility. Additionally, chiropractic care is a preventive approach, helping to maintain optimal health by improving the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

  • Yes, chiropractic adjustments can be received by individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Chiropractors are trained to adapt their techniques based on a person’s age, size, and specific health needs. For infants and children, gentle, light adjustments are used to promote healthy development and address conditions like colic or sleep disturbances. For adults, adjustments help relieve pain, improve mobility, and support overall wellness. In elderly patients, chiropractic care can help manage age-related conditions like arthritis, improve balance, and enhance quality of life. Each adjustment is customized to ensure it’s safe and effective for the individual’s age and health condition.

Acupuncture

  • Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medicine practice, uses thin, sterile needles placed at specific points to balance energy (Qi) and support the body’s natural healing. It reduces pain, relieves stress, improves digestion, regulates hormones, and treats conditions like migraines and anxiety, promoting overall physical and emotional well-being.

  • Acupuncture is generally painless. You may feel a slight tingling or dull ache, but most people find the experience relaxing.

What about insurance?

We’ve chosen not to work directly with insurance to ensure your care remains our top priority, free from insurance limitations. Insurance plans often focus on reactive treatments rather than preventive and wellness-focused care, which can exclude vital options like chiropractic care for children. We value your family’s health and are committed to providing effective, gentle chiropractic solutions that address the root causes of health concerns.

Our services are designed to be affordable, often costing less than typical co-pays. If you have out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide detailed documentation for reimbursement. Additionally, we accept HSA and FSA cards to make payment convenient. By bypassing insurance, we’re able to keep costs low and deliver accessible, high-quality care for your entire family
